Built for owners with more than one location

  • Shop Management

Every location in one list, with the best selling shop at the top. Search your shops and add a new one when you open.

  • Reports for each shop

Open any shop's overview for its sales, tax, inventory, employee and end of day reports.

  • Inventory transfers

Browse another shop's available stock, pick the items and send a transfer request. The other shop approves it.

  • Shared inventory

Share your stock with other locations by store ID so they can order from you on purchase orders.

  • Staff across shops

Each employee has a primary shop. Managers can have administrative rights to more than one.

  • Repair transfers

Running repairs too? Transfer a repair ticket to another shop when the job belongs there.

What a multi-store POS should do for you

The second location is where spreadsheets and group chats stop working. One shop runs out of a fast seller while the other has a full shelf. You cannot tell which store had the better week without calling both. A good multi-store POS puts every location in one account and keeps their stock, staff and numbers apart, while letting you see them together.

That is how SpotsPOS works. Each shop has its own inventory, its own employees and its own registers. You, as the owner, sign in once and move between them.

Shop Management: every location in one place

Shop Management lists every shop on your account. The best selling shop is shown at the top, and you can search when the list grows. Tap a shop to open its overview: the employees who work there, new customers this month, and the full set of reports for that store. That includes the Sales Overview, Daily and Monthly Sales, Sales Tax, Items, Low Stock Items, Total Inventory Cost, Employee Sales, Employee Repairs and End of Day reports. If you also take repairs, the Store Repairs and Monthly Repair reports are there too. See sales reports for what each one shows.

When you open another location, you create the new shop from the same screen with its name, city, store number, store code and email. Each shop shows as active or inactive, and an inactive shop can be reactivated from the list.

Moving stock between your stores

Stock in the wrong store is money sitting on a shelf. SpotsPOS gives you two ways to fix that.

Inventory transfers between your own shops

From Inventory, open Other Shop Inventory, choose one of your stores and see what it has available. Tap the items you need to transfer into your shop. That sends a transfer request. The other shop sees the request with its transfer overview and approves or rejects it, and you can cancel a request you no longer need. When it is approved, the items move from one store to the other, and each item's status log shows "Transferred out" on one side and "Received via transfer" on the other. The History view keeps every past transfer, so nobody has to remember who sent what.

Shared inventory and purchase orders

Share Inventory lets you open your stock to another location, including a partner shop, by entering its store ID. Once they accept, they can browse your stock and order from you on a purchase order. You approve every request, and you can lower a quantity to approve part of an order. You can revoke access at any time, and the Requests tab shows shops that want to share with you.

Employees who work at more than one shop

Every employee has a primary shop. Store managers can be given administrative rights to more than one shop, so they can switch shops without a second login. Everyone still signs in with their own PIN and sees only what their role allows. Employee permissions covers what you can turn on and off for each person.

A typical morning for a two store owner

You open SpotsPOS on your iPhone and check Business Health for yesterday. Shop Management shows the downtown store sold more, so you open its overview and read the end of day report. A popular charger is out of stock at the mall location, so you pull a few from downtown with a transfer request. The downtown manager approves it before lunch. By the time you reach the counter, both shops are stocked and you have not made a single phone call.

How an inventory transfer works

  1. Find the stock

Open Inventory, then Other Shop Inventory, and pick the store that has what you need.

  2. Request the items

Tap the items to transfer into your shop, and confirm the request.

  3. Approve at the other store

The sending shop reviews the transfer request and approves or rejects it.

  4. Stock updates on both sides

Approved items leave one store and arrive in the other, and each item's status log records the transfer.

Every shop's numbers, one tap apart

Open any location from Shop Management and you are looking at its own reports and its own team. Switch to the next shop when you are done.

  • Best selling shop at the top of the list
  • End of day reports for each location
  • Employees and new customers by shop

Questions about running several stores

Can I manage multiple stores with one POS account?

Yes. Every shop sits in one account under Shop Management. You sign in once, switch between shops, and open each shop's own reports and employees.

How do I transfer inventory between stores?

Open Other Shop Inventory, choose the store with the stock and tap the items to transfer into your shop. The other store approves the request, and both stores' stock updates.

Which plan do I need for more than one location?

Two or three shops run from one account with multi-shop; book a demo and we set up the right plan. Chains and franchises with four or more locations are on Enterprise, with reporting by location (see franchises). Inventory transfers between shops and the vendor network across shops start with the Pro plan. See pricing.

Can a manager work at two shops?

Yes. Each employee has a primary shop, and you can give a store manager administrative rights to more than one shop.

Can another store order parts or products from my stock?

Yes. Share your inventory with their store ID. Once they accept, they can order from you on purchase orders, and you approve every request.

Does each store keep its own inventory?

Yes. Each shop keeps its own stock, so you always know what is on which shelf. You move items with a transfer request or sell to another location through shared inventory.
